It's about a race of sentient nonbinary humanoid gemstones who are trying to navigate a world where they are under constant threat, and how one of the most fragile gems tries to find a place for themself in the world and the consequences of that. Houseki no Kuni/Land of the Lustrous is similar in style with fascinating worldbuilding, slow intrigue and beautifully written character growth. It's def pretty far removed from Dungeon Meshi, but it has a similar "vibe" to it at times where you just want to keep following the characters and watching their lives. It has amazing looking food, the sweetest friendship, and is great for just casual reading, slice of life, and generally feeling warm and fuzzy. Maiko-san Chi no Makanai-san is kind of a long shot but it's another gentle non-male gaze/fanservice manga about two friends, one training to be a Geiko in Kyoto (a traditional japanese performer) and her other friend who couldn't quite cut it as a Maiko and now cooks for all the girls in training instead. It's def no replacement for Dungeon Meshi, but it's enjoyable to take a quick detour into that world. There is some romance in it, but it's very light and more background noise than a driving force, but enough of an undercurrent where it could potentially be a deal breaker if your romance tolerance is especially low. The story focuses on the older sister and her experiences, and it's a gentle and fun manga that features stuff like drinking nights with the queen of the Fae and heartwarming family bonds. Isekai Omotenashi Gohan is also really fun but sadly very short, but it's a cooking isekai about a girl who gets summoned to a fantasy world to be it's savior, and more importantly, her older sister who ends up with her and cooks her meals. Isekai Izakaya Nobu is so good and i'm seconding /u/jomm圓4, i love how it gently dips into the socioeconomics of the setting as well as all of the amazing looking food and fun characters, super Dungeon Meshi vibes.
